1.1 hatred between families

Prompt A
In act 1, scene 1 a fight between the servants of the Capulet's and the Montague families. The fight broke out because of the hatred between the two families. As they are fighting a member of each family show up Tybalt of the Capulets and Benvolio of the Montagues. Benvolio tries to stop the fighting Tybalt draws his sword out on him and the fighting continues. As the fight continues the prince of Verona shows up to break up the fight. When the fight stops lord Montague show up to ask Benvolio what had happend. The Montagues start talking about their son and how he's been acting weird. Benvolio tells Romeo parents to let him talk to him and find out whats wrong with their son. Benvolio finds out Romeo was in love and the women he loved is not in love with him. Benvolio tells him theirs many more women out in the world to fall in love with.

Montagues and Capulets Do you force your servants to hate the other family?
Romeo: How did you meet this girl that doesn't love you back?
Romeo: Do you feel any hatred against the Capulets?

  1. I really enjoy your last question about Romeo. Romeo does not like to fight. For Romeo, it is all about love and peace, not hatred and violence. No, I do not think Romeo has any hatred towards the Capulet family.
