1.2 At the right place at the right time
Prompt A: Summary
Lord Capulet discusses the marriage of his daughter, Juliet. He decides that she's too young to marry. Lord Capulet still looks to having her marry at the age of 15. Lord Capulet informs Paris that there will be a party later that night and that Juliet and many other beautiful women will attend. Lord Capulet hands a guest list to his servant and tells him to invite the people on the list. As lord Capulet leaves, it comes clear that the servant can't read. The servant wonders to how he will be able to read the names of the people and complete the task of inviting the people. Just as luck strikes the servant, Romeo and Benvolio pass by and the servant asks Romeo for help. The servant asks Romeo to read the names of the guests on the list. Once Romeo is done reading them to the servant, the servant invites Romeo and Benvolio to lord Capulet's party. Benvolio suggests that it would be a good opportunity to get his mind off his unreturned love. Although they're both looking forward to the party, they both seem to forget they're part of the Montague family.
Prompt B: Love is a journey which no one knows the path to.
Prompt E:

The reason to why i chose this image to represent Act 1.Scene 2, is due to the way the paths look. In scene 2, Romeo is unaware that the party to which he will attend is a Capulet party, their rival. Benvolio suggests to take the path of going to the party, instead of politely saying, "no thank you."

I like how you used your image as a metaphor, not only putting meaning into the book with a photo, but also putting meaning into the photo, which I assume, had no meaning until you found it.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't he know that it is a Capulet party, but decides to go because he would be wearing a mask anyways and wouldn't be discovered?
ReplyDeleteI really like your image, because it describes the scene and how your theme reflects love in a different way.
