Prompt A: Summary
This scene happens in the street of Mantua, where Balthasar tells Romeo that Juliet is dead. When Romeo finds out that Juliet is dead, he makes a plan to kill himself too. He tells Balthasar to do the following orders: to go get horses and writing materials, and also give a letter to his father and the lord. Suddenly, Romeo remembers that Apothecary lives nearby, and is a merchant that has economic circumstances for him. Romeo knows that if Apothecary gives poison to him, it will have to be a secret. Then Romeo calls for Apothecary and offers forty ducats for poison, and then Apothecary gives Romeo the poison, for him to go and drink the potion in front of Juliet's grave, to die next to her.
