This whole scene is about decision making. Romeo must decide what he wants to do with his love life: Will he move on, or will he go to the party and try to impress Rosaline?
Prompt D: Quotes
Lord Capulet says to Paris, "But woo her, gentle Paris, get her heart, My will to her consent is but a part. And she agreed, within her scope of choice Lies my consent, and fair according voice" when is is trying to make Paris choose Juliet. Although Capulet is trying to get a husband for his daughter, he comes off very selfish and is pushing Paris towards Juliet. Instead of her father, Juliet should be able to make decisions for her own love life.
